Actually Get the app

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

This policy explains what information the Actually app and website ("Actually", "we", "us") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Actually is operated by Nako Games. If you have questions, contact us at info@nakogames.com.

Information we collect

When you use the app without an account. We create an anonymous guest account tied to your device. We store a random device identifier, your device model, operating system version and app version, and your country (derived from your device settings).

When you sign in. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier from that provider and, if you allow it, your name and email address. If you add a profile name or photo, we store those too.

How you use the app. We record your interactions with questions: which questions you view and for how long, your answers, likes, saves, shares, "not interested" choices, and reports. We use these to personalize your feed, keep your progress, streaks and achievements, and improve the content.

Comments. Comments and replies you post, the reactions you give, and reports you send are stored with your account. Your profile name and photo are shown next to your comments.

Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a push token so we can send you notifications, for example when someone replies to your comment.

Advertising. The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect device information and, if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, your device's advertising identifier, to serve and measure ads. If you don't allow tracking, ads are not personalized. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent through Google's consent tool, and you can change your choices at any time under Settings → Ad privacy choices.

Analytics. We use Google Firebase to understand how the app is used and to deliver notifications. Firebase collects usage events and device information.

Website. Our web servers log basic request information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. The website does not use advertising cookies.

How we use information

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run Actually, under their own privacy terms: Microsoft Azure (hosting and storage), Cloudflare (content delivery), Google (sign-in, Firebase, AdMob) and Apple (sign-in and notifications). Your profile name, photo and comments are visible to other users. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and others.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings; this removes your account, your progress and your comments. Some records may be kept for a limited time where needed for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Guest data that is no longer used may be deleted after a period of inactivity.

Your choices and rights

Children

Actually is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and transfers

We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the app or on this page. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
